2. Definitions

• "User", "you", "your" – any individual or entity that registers for or uses the Service.
• "Dynamic QR Code" – a QR code generated via our platform whose destination URL or content can be changed after creation.
• "Static QR Code" – a QR code with fixed content that cannot be edited once generated (available on free plan).
• "Scan Data" – analytics information collected when a QR code is scanned, including timestamp, approximate location, device type, and operating system.
• "Subscription Plan" – paid access to premium features including dynamic QR codes, analytics, and customization.
• "User Content" – any URLs, text, images, logos, Wi-Fi credentials, vCard data, or other materials you upload or embed into QR codes.

3. Account Registration & Security

To access paid features or create dynamic QR codes, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities under your account. We cannot be liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account. Notify us immediately at security@devshield.tech of any security breach.

You may not create multiple free accounts to circumvent subscription limitations. We reserve the right to suspend or merge duplicate accounts.

4. Subscription Plans & Payments

4.1 Paid Plans

We offer various subscription plans (Monthly, 6 Months, Yearly, Lifetime) as described on our pricing page. All payments are one-time (except monthly recurring) and non-refundable except as expressly stated in our refund policy.

4.2 Pricing Changes

We may adjust pricing for future subscriptions. Existing subscribers will be grandfathered at their original rate for the duration of their current billing period. For monthly plans, we will provide 30 days notice before any price increase.

4.3 Payment Processing

We use Stripe and PayPal as third-party payment processors. Your payment information is handled directly by these providers – we do not store full credit card numbers. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method according to your selected plan.

4.4 Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for all paid plans (excluding Lifetime). If you are not satisfied, contact us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. After 30 days, no refunds will be issued for partial subscription periods. Lifetime plan refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase.

5. Service Description

devshield.tech QR provides a platform to generate, customize, and track QR codes. Key features include:

• Generation of static and dynamic QR codes.
• Real-time scan analytics (location, device, time).
• QR code customization (colors, logos, frames).
• Content updates for dynamic QR codes.
• API access (available on certain plans).

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated via email or site notice.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to misuse the Service or assist anyone else in doing so. Prohibited activities include:

• Illegal content: Generating QR codes that link to or promote illegal goods, services, or activities (e.g., counterfeit goods, unauthorized pharmaceuticals, child exploitation).
• Malware/phishing: Using QR codes to distribute malware, viruses, or fraudulent pages designed to steal credentials (phishing).
• Harassment/hate speech: QR codes that direct to content promoting violence, discrimination, or harassment.
• Spam: Mass-generating QR codes for unsolicited advertising or spam campaigns.
• Intellectual property infringement: Uploading logos or content you do not own or have rights to.
• Scraping: Attempting to extract scan data or user information without authorization.

We reserve the right to remove any QR code or suspend accounts that violate this policy without prior notice. We may report serious violations to relevant authorities.

7. Your Content and QR Codes

7.1 Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to the content you encode in QR codes. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your URLs, text, logos, or images.

7.2 License to Host

By using our Service, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (e.g., serving redirects, displaying your analytics). This license ends when you delete your content or terminate your account.

7.3 Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the legality and appropriateness of your QR code destinations. We are not a publisher of your content and assume no liability for it.

7.4 Scan Data

As described in our Privacy Policy, scan data collected from your QR codes is processed on your behalf. You are responsible for ensuring your QR campaigns comply with applicable privacy laws (e.g., GDPR if you collect data from EU residents).
