If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase of any paid subscription plan, you may request a full refund within 30 days of the original purchase date. No questions asked. This is our commitment to your confidence in QR.devshield.tech.

This guarantee applies to all paid plans unless otherwise noted. We believe in the quality and value of our dynamic QR code platform, and we want you to try it risk-free. If we don't meet your expectations, we'll promptly return your investment.

2. Plan-by-Plan Refund Terms

Different subscription plans have specific refund eligibility windows and conditions. The table below summarizes our policy for each plan type:

📌 Important:

The 30-day refund window begins on the date of the transaction, not the date of account creation or first use. For monthly subscriptions, each recurring billing cycle is considered a separate purchase.

3. How to Request a Refund

Requesting a refund is simple and straightforward. Follow these steps:

Alternative method: Email our refund team directly at refunds@qr.devshield.tech from the email address associated with your account. Include your full name, transaction ID, and reason for refund (optional).

You can also cancel your subscription through your account settings at any time. Cancellation and refund requests are handled separately.

4. Refund Processing Timeline

Once your refund request is approved, the time to receive the funds depends on your original payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Card: 5-10 business days (Stripe processing)
  • PayPal: 3-5 business days
  • Bank Transfer/ACH: 7-12 business days

You will receive a confirmation email from our refund team within 24-48 hours of submitting your request, acknowledging receipt and status. Approved refunds are processed within 2 business days; the remaining time is dependent on your financial institution.

Processing guarantee: If your approved refund takes longer than 14 business days, contact us and we will expedite manually.

5. Exceptions & Non-Refundable Items

While we aim to be as flexible as possible, certain purchases and situations are not eligible for refunds:

  • Free Plan: No payments are collected, therefore no refunds apply.
  • Refunds requested after 30 days: For monthly plans, after 30 days from the transaction date, we cannot issue a refund for that billing cycle.
  • Abuse of refund policy: Repeatedly purchasing and refunding subscriptions may result in denial of future refund requests and possible account termination.
  • Violation of Terms of Service: Accounts suspended or terminated for violation of our Acceptable Use Policy or other Terms are not eligible for refunds.
  • Partial refunds: We do not offer pro-rated refunds for unused time within a billing cycle (e.g., canceling with 15 days left in a monthly plan).
  • Third-party fees: Any currency conversion fees, bank fees, or international transaction fees imposed by your financial institution are non-refundable.

⚠️ Refund Abuse Policy:

Customers who request refunds for 3 or more separate purchases within a 12-month period may be flagged for review. We reserve the right to deny future refund requests and restrict account privileges.

6. Cancellation vs. Refund: Important Distinction

Cancellation stops future payments but does not automatically issue a refund for past payments. Refund is a request to return money from a completed transaction.

If you cancel your monthly subscription, you will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period. No refund will be issued for the remaining days unless you specifically request a refund within 30 days of that payment.

For one-time payments (6-Month, Yearly, Lifetime), cancellation simply means you will not be charged again (if auto-renewal was enabled). You retain access for the full period you paid for, but refunds are only available within 30 days of purchase.

7. Subscription Changes, Upgrades & Downgrades

Upgrades

When you upgrade from a lower-tier plan to a higher-tier plan (e.g., Monthly to Yearly), a prorated credit may be applied to your new purchase. Refunds for the original plan must be requested within 30 days of that original purchase. Upgrading does not reset the refund clock for the original payment.

Downgrades

Downgrading from a paid plan to the Free plan takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. No refund is issued for the remaining period. You may request a refund for the most recent payment if within 30 days.

8. Promotional & Discounted Plans

From time to time, we offer promotional pricing, coupons, or special discounts. These are considered final sale and are subject to the following:

  • 50%+ discount codes: Non-refundable unless the service is unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours.
  • Bundle deals: Refunds for bundled purchases (e.g., QR codes + API credits) are calculated as the proportional value of the returned component, minus the discount allocation.
  • Beta tester pricing: Grandfathered promotional rates are not refundable beyond the standard 30-day window.

9. Lifetime Plan – Special Refund Considerations

The Lifetime plan is a one-time payment for indefinite access. Due to the nature of this plan, refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis with the following guidelines:

  • Within 14 days of purchase: Full refund is generally approved unless abuse is detected.
  • 14-30 days: Partial refund (75%) may be considered if the service was not used extensively.
  • After 30 days: Refunds are not issued for Lifetime purchases except in extraordinary circumstances (e.g., permanent service discontinuation).

Lifetime plan holders retain access for life. If you are dissatisfied, we encourage you to contact our support team first — we often can resolve issues without needing a refund.

10. Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get a refund if I forgot to cancel my monthly subscription?

Yes, if the charge occurred within the last 30 days, you may request a refund. If it's been longer than 30 days since the charge date, we cannot issue a refund for that payment.

I purchased the 6-month plan but only used it for a week. Can I get a partial refund?

We offer full refunds within 30 days, but we do not offer partial refunds. If you are within 30 days, you can request a full refund. After 30 days, no refund is available.

How long do refunds take to appear on my credit card?

Once we process the refund (usually within 2 business days), your bank or card issuer typically takes 5-10 business days to credit your account. Some international banks may take up to 14 business days.

I purchased the Lifetime plan 6 months ago, but I never used it. Can I still get a refund?

Unfortunately, Lifetime plan refunds are only considered within 14 days of purchase. However, we encourage you to reach out — we may be able to offer account credits or other accommodations.

Will I lose access to my dynamic QR codes after a refund?

Yes. If a refund is issued for a paid plan that included dynamic QR codes, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan. Dynamic QR codes will become inactive (redirects will stop working) within 24 hours. You may reactivate them by subscribing again.

I received a refund but still see the charge on my account. What should I do?

First, check your email for our refund confirmation. If you have received confirmation, the delay is with your financial institution. If it's been more than 14 business days, contact us at refunds@qr.devshield.tech and we will investigate.
